Envision Energy Receives DNV Type Certification for TG Pro Wind Turbine Platform
Global green technology leader Envision Energy has secured Type Certification from DNV for its TG Pro wind turbine at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, validating the technical maturity of its next-generation platform for international markets.

Envision Energy Receives DNV Type Certification for TG Pro Wind Turbine Platform
Envision Energy has received Type Certification from DNV for its TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz) wind turbine, marking a significant milestone in validating the technical maturity and market readiness of the company's next-generation wind turbine platform.
The certificate was presented during WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, the world's largest expo for the wind industry, which took place from September 22-25 and attracted approximately 1,400 exhibitors and over 43,000 participants from around 100 nations. Mette Redanz, Vice President of Renewables Certification at DNV, presented the certification to Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy.
DNV's certification services carry significant weight in the industry, with the organization's experience in type certification for wind turbines dating back to the 1980s. Its certification services are accredited by the accreditation body DAkkS according to ISO/IEC 17065, providing independent verification of turbine performance and safety through comprehensive evaluation including design assessment, component testing, type testing and measurements.
The timing of this certification positions Envision strategically within the rapidly expanding global wind turbine market, valued at approximately USD 170-195 billion in 2026. Industry analysts project the market will grow to USD 280-340 billion by 2030-2035, with compound annual growth rates between 7.6% and 12.1%.
TG Pro Platform Development and Validation
Since its launch in 2024, the TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz) has secured multiple orders in China and international markets and undergone extensive prototype and commercial validation. Built on Envision's Model TG Pro platform, the turbine combines a high-performance turbine architecture, optimized aerodynamic design and intelligent control technologies to improve energy capture and generation efficiency across a broad range of wind conditions.
The platform is designed for long-term reliability, with strengthened key components and engineering solutions tailored to demanding operating environments. Its validation process has included component testing, digital-twin simulation, multi-site prototype operation and commercial deployment, providing a comprehensive basis for evaluating the turbine's performance and reliability.
The continued advancement of our next-generation turbine portfolio is built on rigorous validation and real-world application. The DNV certification of TG Pro further demonstrates the maturity of the platform and its readiness to serve customers across diverse international markets. As renewable power systems evolve, Envision will continue to advance intelligent, high-performance and reliable turbine technologies for Future Energy Systems, enabling renewable energy to deliver greater value at scale.
Mette Redanz noted that independent certification provides an important foundation for confidence in wind turbine technology, helping manufacturers, developers and other stakeholders assess the performance, reliability and compliance of new turbine platforms.
Bureau Veritas Certification for EN-156 Platform
Beyond TG Pro, Envision showcased its broader wind turbine portfolio at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026. Its EN-156/5.0 MW platform has received a Provisional Type Certificate from Bureau Veritas. The certification process was completed in less than five months, providing independent third-party assessment of the platform's design and technical capabilities as it moves toward broader commercial deployment.
The EN-156/5.0 MW platform targets the onshore wind turbine market segment, valued at approximately USD 56.85 billion in 2026, with growth projected at a 5.5-5.8% compound annual growth rate through 2030.
Deployment in Sri Lanka
Developed for the Asia-Pacific region, the EN-156/5.0 MW is being deployed at the Manar Wind Power Project in Sri Lanka, representing Envision's first utility-scale wind turbine order in the country. The project aligns with Sri Lanka's ambitious renewable energy goals, as the country aims to produce 70% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 and targets carbon neutrality by 2050.
The Mannar region, located in an arid zone with strong monsoonal wind systems, has proven strategically important for large-scale wind power development. The area already hosts the country's first large-scale 100-MW wind park on Mannar Island's south coast, demonstrating the region's exceptional wind resource potential.
Featuring a 110-meter hub height and enhanced anti-corrosion specifications, the EN-156 turbine is designed for demanding coastal environments characterized by high salinity and humidity. The 50MW Mannar Wind Power Project is expected to generate approximately 207 million kWh of electricity annually and is scheduled for commissioning by March 2027.
The two certification milestones demonstrate Envision's continued focus on rigorous engineering, independent validation and market-specific product development. Through collaboration with leading international certification bodies and customers across diverse markets, Envision is advancing wind turbine technologies that combine performance, reliability and adaptability for the evolving global energy system.
