Huawei Launches Enhanced Stellar AI Campus Network Solution at Shanghai Tech Conference

Huawei presented its upgraded Stellar AI Campus Network Solution at the annual HUAWEI CONNECT 2026 conference, held September 17-19 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. The three-day event, themed 'Advancing the Agentic World,' drew approximately 20,000 attendees from the enterprise technology sector.

The enhanced solution addresses the infrastructure demands created by agentic AI systems, which can autonomously plan, invoke tools, and execute tasks independently. These systems require significantly more frequent data exchange between processors, memory, and storage than traditional generative AI applications. According to Huawei's analysis, daily token consumption has surged 260-fold over the past year due to explosive AI adoption.

Leon Wang, President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, emphasized the transformative nature of AI-driven campuses during his keynote address.

Driven by AI, today's campuses are evolving into a super agent that can perceive, think, self-heal, and dynamically adapt. Leveraging our ICT prowess, we, together with global customers and partners, are building ubiquitous AI campuses to bring 'technology for people' to life and accelerate digital and intelligent transformation across all industries.

Shawn Zhao, another company spokesperson, noted that the AI era has intensified requirements for campus networks.

The AI era has placed higher demands for campus networks, especially bandwidth capacity, security defense, and O&M efficiency. To address this, Huawei's upgraded Stellar AI Campus Network Solution offers innovations across superfast wireless, full-scope security, and network autonomy, helping maximize productivity.

Advanced Wireless Performance

The solution's wireless capabilities center on Huawei Wi-Fi 7 Advanced technology. The company has introduced intelligent Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse (iCSSR) technology, which the firm claims delivers twice the networking performance of competing products. Wi-Fi 7, officially approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance in January 2024, supports theoretical speeds up to 46 Gbps through 320 MHz channels, 4096-QAM modulation, and Multi-Link Operation technology—approximately 4.8 times faster than Wi-Fi 6's maximum 9.6 Gbps. The standard operates across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz frequency bands, enabling simultaneous data transmission across multiple channels.

Huawei holds the top position globally in enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 market share and shipments according to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Wireless LAN Tracker for Q4 2024, and has shipped over 2 million enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 products as of early 2026. This market leadership comes as the global enterprise WLAN segment has experienced substantial growth, reaching $2.8 billion in Q1 2023 with a 43.3% year-over-year increase driven largely by Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E adoption.

To expand its Wi-Fi+X ecosystem, Huawei unveiled the eCampusLink platform and HiSpaceX appliance, which support digital campus operations through unified access, spatial modeling, and rapid orchestration capabilities.

Comprehensive Security Architecture

The upgraded solution implements what Huawei describes as full-scope security, encompassing asset, connectivity, spatial, and privacy protection across both digital and physical environments. The company's upgraded Asset Security Solution achieves second-level blocking of terminal behavior anomalies and precise network-security collaborative tracing, ensuring comprehensive visibility and control over all connected assets.

AI-Powered Network Operations

Addressing the growing need for operational efficiency, Huawei has integrated iFlow and distributed real-time simulation technologies into the platform. These capabilities enable proactive detection before issues occur, rapid localization during incidents, and service verification after resolution, providing real-time visibility into agent experience.

The company reports that upgrades across data, models, and tools deliver 24/7 AI-powered operations with a 95% troubleshooting accuracy rate and a 90% reduction in mean time to repair (MTTR).

Huawei has expanded aggressively in the Campus LAN market beyond China, securing major projects across Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia while benefiting from increased technology spending in the Middle East. The company has positioned itself as a challenger to established competitors in the EMEA region.

Looking forward, Huawei stated its commitment to continued innovation in partnership with customers and partners worldwide to build AI-ready campus infrastructure for the emerging agentic computing environment.
