Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair Returns for 2026 Edition at Taipei World Trade Center

Informa Markets Asia Ltd., Taiwan Branch, has announced that the 9th Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair will run from November 20 to 23, 2026, at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. The event is anticipated to draw 10,000 professional buyers, jewellery brands, manufacturers, suppliers, designers and industry professionals, providing a dedicated platform for international sourcing, business matchmaking and industry networking.

The fair, which debuted in 2013, returned in 2025 after a five-year hiatus, marking a significant comeback for Taiwan's premier jewellery trade event. Last year's edition attracted 5,868 professional buyers from 34 countries, with over 40 percent demonstrating clear purchasing intent and engaging in on-site negotiations. The 2026 fair aims to build on this momentum with an expanded buyer base and enhanced offerings.

Expanded Product Showcase and New Features

The 2026 edition will feature an extensive range of jewellery products, including coloured gemstones, diamonds, pearls, gold jewellery, jewellery design, manufacturing and metalworking. A notable addition this year is the new "Born by Nature: GemVerse" showcase, which will highlight fine gem minerals and explore their transformation from rough minerals through cutting, design and craftsmanship to finished jewellery pieces.

The fair will also spotlight designer jewellery that demonstrates contemporary creativity and craftsmanship, alongside antique jewellery reflecting historical heritage and period aesthetics. These diverse offerings aim to provide buyers, jewellery enthusiasts and collectors with a comprehensive perspective on jewellery, spanning natural materials, design innovation, craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

Taiwan's Position in the Global Jewellery Market

Taiwan's jewellery industry has evolved significantly from its origins in OEM manufacturing for Japanese brands to become globally recognized for bespoke fine jewellery pieces that blend Eastern and Western design elements. The island nation's jewellery market is valued at approximately USD 3.14 billion, with a steady compound annual growth rate of 5.86 percent, establishing Taiwan as a key jewellery sourcing and innovation hub in Asia.

Taiwan exported approximately USD 2.6 billion worth of jewellery and precious metals in 2022, demonstrating its significant role in the global jewellery supply chain. This positions the Taiwan Jewellery & Gem Fair strategically within the broader Asia Pacific jewellery market, which is expected to reach USD 359 billion by 2033, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 5.7 percent from 2025 to 2033. The Asia Pacific region accounts for approximately 60 percent of the global jewellery market.

Connecting the Jewellery Value Chain

As a leading jewellery trade platform in Taiwan, the fair connects the entire jewellery value chain, from raw materials and gemstones to manufacturing, design, brands and retail. The event combines B2B sourcing and business networking with high-end consumer engagement, creating opportunities for industry professionals and consumers to discover new products, build connections and explore business opportunities.

For exhibitors, the fair provides a platform to showcase products, design and craftsmanship while connecting with professional buyers and potential business partners. Buyers gain access to a diverse range of suppliers and products, supporting sourcing and market discovery. Jewellery enthusiasts and collectors can explore distinctive pieces and gain deeper insight into their design, craftsmanship and heritage.

The venue, Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, spans 23,450 square meters with capacity for approximately 1,300 standard exhibition booths, making it Taiwan's largest exhibition hall. The facility, which opened in 1986 and has been managed by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) since its inception, hosts over 25 annual international trade shows.
