Editorial independence
Nusa Kini operates independently of the Indonesian government and of all commercial partners. Coverage decisions are based solely on news value and public interest.
Conflicts of interest
Staff declare any personal, financial or professional interest in subjects they cover. Confirmed conflicts result in reassignment from the relevant story.
Gifts and hospitality
We do not accept gifts or undisclosed hospitality from government ministries, state-owned enterprises, companies or other entities we cover.
Source protection
The identities of confidential sources are protected unconditionally.
Legal and judicial reporting
We apply the presumption of innocence. We are precise in distinguishing between suspects, defendants and those convicted. We follow Indonesian court reporting standards and do not publish sub judice material that could prejudice proceedings.
