Scope of coverage
Nusa Kini covers Indonesia across five domains: Government & Politics (presidency, parliament, ministries, elections, regional government, policy); Economy & Business (macroeconomy, trade and investment, companies, banking, agriculture); Society & Public Services (health, education, welfare, employment, culture, tourism); Environment, Energy & Infrastructure (conservation, climate, energy, transport, construction, digital); Foreign Affairs, Law & Security (diplomacy, ASEAN, defence, law enforcement, courts, maritime).
Sources and verification
We use official primary sources wherever available: Indonesian government publications (sekretariat negara, Biro Humas kementerian), Bank Indonesia, BPS, BKPM, Mahkamah Agung records, the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) for corporate data. We verify regulatory and legal information directly with the relevant authority.
We contact all named parties in our reporting before publication where time and access allow. We publish their responses.
Editorial independence
Nusa Kini's editorial output is not directed by government entities, Indonesian or otherwise, or by commercial partners. Our coverage decisions are made solely on the basis of news value and public interest.
Accuracy and data integrity
Indonesian statistical and economic data is frequently revised. Where official figures are revised after our publication, we update the article and note the revision.
