KPK Questions Bengkulu Council Member Vinna Ledy Over Alleged Asset Gifts

Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned Bengkulu City Council member Vinna Ledy Anggraheni on October 29, 2026, about houses, apartments and vehicles allegedly provided by businessman Eno Bowo Susilo. KPK said she remains a witness in the investigation.

Questioning follows expansion of bribery probe

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said investigators were examining assets Vinna allegedly received from other parties, particularly Susilo, also known as EBS. They are also investigating other suspected gifts or gratuities connected to her role on the Bengkulu City Council.

The questioning stems from a procurement bribery investigation in the Rejang Lebong regional government in Bengkulu. Budi said KPK had expanded that inquiry, which involves inactive Rejang Lebong Regent M Fikri Thobari, by opening a separate investigation into suspected gifts or gratuities within the Bengkulu City Government. The investigation order, known as a Sprindik, took effect in October 2026.

According to Kompas.com, Vinna spent six hours and nine minutes being questioned at KPK's Red and White Building in Jakarta, from 10:50 a.m. to 4:59 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. She left with two aides and told reporters, "I'm a witness." When asked about vehicles and houses allegedly received from EBS, she replied, "No comment. Sorry, sorry."

Vinna represents the National Awakening Party (PKB) on the council. The party's deputy secretary-general, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, said PKB respects the legal process involving her.

Investigators have seized cars and property

Before the latest questioning, KPK had seized four cars and an apartment in Tebet, South Jakarta, from Vinna's possession in the same investigation. The agency said the suspected gifts from EBS extended beyond vehicles to immovable property, including land and/or buildings in the form of an apartment.

Among the vehicle seizures was a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport taken from Vinna on August 10, 2026. Investigators suspected it was a gift from a businessman.

KPK also seized a luxury house belonging to Vinna in South Jakarta. Budi announced that seizure on September 1, 2026; Suara.com reported that officers had seized the property on Monday, August 31.

Investigators questioned EBS in late August about allegations that he had given Bengkulu City officials luxury cars, a luxury apartment and a luxury house. KPK said it would examine whether those alleged gifts were linked to work on projects in the city.

Searches in the Bengkulu case also yielded documents, electronic evidence and more than Rp4 billion in cash. Investigators found the money at the home of the head of the Bengkulu City Public Works and Housing Agency, known as Dinas PUPR.

The underlying Rejang Lebong case

The Rejang Lebong investigation began with a KPK sting operation against Fikri on March 9, 2026. He is suspected of accepting a total of Rp1.7 billion in bribes tied to several projects. The project budget at the regency's Dinas PUPRPKP reached Rp91.13 billion.

The allegations include an "ijon" project bribe of Rp980 million paid in installments through intermediaries, as well as a separate suspected receipt of Rp775 million.
