Bahlil Declines to Discuss Nusron Wahid's Two Missed KPK Summons
Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia declined to discuss instructions to fellow party member and ATR/BPN Minister Nusron Wahid about his KPK summons after a cabinet meeting in Jakarta on October 21, 2026. Nusron has twice missed questioning as a witness in a bribery investigation involving PT Summarecon Tbk's building use rights.

Questions outside the palace
Both men attended the Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday. Asked what instructions he had given Nusron about the summons, Bahlil said the matter was outside the meeting's agenda.
"That is not part of the meeting materials," he said while getting into his car that evening. He offered no further comment about Nusron. With reporters following him, Bahlil abruptly embraced Basuki Hadimuljono, head of the IKN Authority.
Missed questioning and a postponement request
Kompas.com reported that Nusron's first scheduled appearance was October 7. He did not attend, citing commitments at the ATR/BPN Ministry. He also missed a second summons for October 15, prompting public questions about his whereabouts.
The KPK said Nusron submitted a postponement request on October 14. Speaking at the agency's Red and White Building in South Jakarta on October 16, Acting Director of Investigations Ahmad Taufik Husein also referred to October 14 as the date Nusron was supposed to appear, rather than the October 15 date reported for the second summons.
Taufik said a scheduling conflict accounted for the first absence and official travel abroad for the later one. "If I'm not mistaken, it was to Malaysia," he said.
Following the second missed appearance, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said investigators would consider all options, including bringing Nusron in by force, to move the investigation forward. Taufik said on October 16 that the agency would review whether the postponement request was reasonable and appropriate before deciding whether to reschedule questioning or issue a further summons.
The land-rights bribery investigation
The investigation concerns alleged bribes to unblock PT Summarecon Tbk's building use rights, known as HGB, for land in Bogor Regency, West Java. On September 15, 2026, the KPK announced eight suspects, including four people it described as close to Nusron: Erwin, Arif Sugiyanto, Muhammad Fakhry and Fahd El Fouz.
The other suspects are Sontang Coin Manurung, head of the Bogor Land Office; Lampri, ATR/BPN director general for land control and spatial planning; Adrianto Pitoyo Adhi, president director of Summarecon Agung; and intermediary Rizal Pahlevi.
In its September 15 account, the KPK alleged that Adrianto used intermediaries to deliver Rp 1.5 billion to Erwin on August 27, 2026, to unblock and split Summarecon's building use rights certificates, or SHGB, in Bogor. Investigators alleged that Erwin then gave Sontang Rp 200 million from that payment as a fee.
The agency separately alleged that PT Bela Parahyangan paid Erwin Rp 2.1 billion in HGB "management money," and that Erwin deposited Rp 1.8 billion of it to Arif Sugiyanto.
The KPK also reported finding Rp 8 billion in cash inside nine red suitcases bearing Lampri's name. Its examination of transactions on Arif's account identified a Rp 10 billion cash deposit dated September 7, 2026.
